Massage therapy helps you relax, re-align and rejuvenate. There are many positive aspects to receiving massage therapy on an ongoing basis, and with the busy lives we lead, we can all benefit from a little stress-management.

• Swedish Massage/Relaxation - The most commonly taught and practiced style of massage. The practitioner uses various techniques which includes effleurage, pertrissage, tapoment, etc with a massage oil or lotion. Swedish style massage focuses on optimizing the circulation of blood flow and relaxation in the body. It also helps relieve stress, stretch ligaments and tendons, and sooth the nervous system. 

• Deep Tissue Massage  - Good for tense, and contracted areas, low back tightness, sore shoulders, and stiff necks.  This technique focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. It helps  release chronic patterns of tension and break up and eliminate scar tissue. The practitioner uses slow deep strokes and trigger point therapy on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. This is usually done to focus on a certain area of the body. 

• Prenatal Massage - Has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints.  is a specialized massage that focuses on the mother-to-be.  It can help reduce stress and promote general well-being relieving some of the aches and pain that are associated with pregnancy. Massage is not commonly recommended during the first trimester due to the fact the fetus is in a sensitive state of developmental growth .

• CranioSacral Therapy - is performed on a fully clothed person. Is a light touch manipulation techniques. Practitioner monitors the rhythm of the clients cranial-sacral system evaluating potential restriction and imbalances. It is useful for treating sensory, motor  intellectual dysfunction including headaches, back pain, and ADHD.

• Hot Stone Massage  - Warmth from the stones will help enhance muscle circulation, and is deeply soothing,relaxing and a great stress reliever to  the body.  The stones can be placed on key areas of the body and also be used to address specific problem areas. Basalt stones are typically used.  Various sizes, shapes and weights are used throughout the massage. $10

• Reflexology-A specialized massage technique, the therapist will use their finger pads by applying pressure to certain reflex points in the hands and feet which correspond with other parts of the body; helps stimulate the body’s self-healing properties. $10

• Aromatherapy Massage  - Using aromatic scents this gentle massage will calm and refresh your body, and soul.  $10
